from the collection: In general
only duplicate materials were withdrawn. This included copies of substantial
monographic materials, already in Lane's collection as well as numerous
pamphlets, corporation reports, promotional materials, duplicate copies of
Senate bills and Assembly hearings, Conference reports, various annual reports,
reprints, newsletters, duplicates of papers presented by Dr. Lee and others.
Certain materials more directly
related to Palo Alto such as two directories of the P.A. Chamber of Commerce
for 1959 and 1963, two newsletters of the P.A.Historical Association, Feb. `63
and April `64 were given to the Palo Alto Historical Association as well a
folder of material on the P.A. Foothills including a large map and aerial photo
of the area, given to P.A. Public Library. While reprints are generally not
retained by Lane, some reprints, e.g.some regarding specific drugs, were
retained in this collection.
One paper, by Paul Campbell, President of the Stanford Medical Alumni
Association in Lane's Vertical History File.
Copies of Americana, 1975 and Sports Illustrated, 1975 were withdrawn.
